help me get my private pilot licence
Hi, my name’s Khalil. I’m currently in secondary school, and my GCSEs are coming up soon, so I’ve been really focused on studying and getting ready. I’ve already chosen the college I want to attend, and I’m excited to take that next step. I’ve been thinking a lot about my future, and I know that aviation is the path I want to follow.
I was born in the UK, and I’m half Polish and half Jamaican. I think growing up with a mixed background has helped shape who I am — I take pride in my roots and appreciate the different sides of my identity. Outside of school, I love animals and enjoy playing basketball as well as alot of flight simulators it’s a great way for me to keep my self occupied and clear my mind.
Flying has been a dream of mine for a long time. My goal is to start with my PPL (Private Pilot Licence) and build from there. I’ve also looked into the RAF as a possible path into aviation. I know joining the RAF is extremely competitive, with a very strict selection process, and only the most capable candidates are chosen. It’s a big challenge, but it’s something I’ve seriously considered because I’m willing to work hard for what I want.
One of the biggest obstacles is that, in the UK, student loans cover most university courses, but unfortunately, flight training isn’t included. That makes the financial side more difficult, but I’m staying determined and focused, taking small steps toward my dream.
One day, I hope to become a commercial pilot — not just for the love of flying, but also to make sure that passengers always feel safe and cared for. I want people to know that when they’re flying, they have a friendly, calm, and responsible pilot who takes their safety seriously and will do everything possible to ensure they arrive safely at their destination.
