2026 marks the 15 year anniversary since 42 CDO RM deployed on Op Herrick 14. Tragically 7 men were never to return from this tour and many more returned injured, some visibly, countless with hidden wounds. The Magnificent 7 began in response to this horror of a tour and the impact on the families. Since 2011, we have had an annual event railings for a variety of charities and causes and have raised in excess of £40,000 over this time thanks to the generosity of our hoofing supporters.

Our event is on 19th June when families, loved ones and Royal Marines past and present will yomp over (part of) Dartmoor to remember the sacrifices made by so many. Team Mag7 has grown since inception to welcome any bereaved families of Royal Marines, we are stronger together.

This year brings our biggest and most poignant ask as we have been given the opportunity to dedicate seating to the Magnificent 7 in the new Royal Marines Experience (previously the RM Museum) which is due to open later this year. No one else has had this offered to them, the seating will be in the Remembrance Room which will be full of photos of Royal Marines no longer with us. This is a huge honour to have been offered this, we need to raise £4000 which will mean the seating is permanently dedicated to the Mag7
