I am raising funds for the people of Safi (Asfi), a coastal city in Morocco that has been devastated by severe and deadly flooding following heavy rainfall.

After years of drought, the river overflowed into Al-Medina, the oldest and poorest part of the city, where families, children, and elderly residents were hit the hardest. According to official reports, 41 people have lost their lives, with many others still missing. Some were tragically swept away by powerful floodwaters toward the ocean.

Homes collapsed under the force of the water, leaving families homeless overnight. Children and elderly residents were forced onto rooftops or into the streets during cold, rainy conditions, without food, dry clothes, or basic necessities. Many injured remain in hospital, and families are still searching for loved ones.

Even those who survived have lost everything. The Medina is a fragile community, and with homes and small shops destroyed, many families now have no income and no security.

This fundraiser aims to provide urgent relief, including food, clean water, clothing, blankets, temporary shelter, and support for affected families during this critical time.
