”And whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saves the entire world…”
As a first responder for more than half of his life, Ian took great pride in being part of the EMS community. He wore his badge honorably. To him it was a sign that he was part of something far greater than a job; he was a member of a selfless family. Ian lived and died by the belief that public service came above all else.
On September 22, 2021, Ian passed away after a three week fight due to complications of COVID-19. Ian contracted COVID-19 while helping a patient infected with the monstrous virus, as many, many other first responders have. Though we may have lost Ian’s physical presence, we will never lose his spirit and unyielding desire to help the community and others around him.
Ian will never see his 40th birthday, but in honor of that milestone, I ask for your help in banding together as a community, to help raise $40,000 for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation by Ian’s 40th birthday. Let us continue Ian’s legacy and noble dedication to public service by giving back to his fellow first responders.
…We thank you Ian, for saving us, time and time again.
