A Fellow Yid Needs Our Help for Life-Saving Heart Surgery

A beloved member of our community, currently living in South Africa, has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition requiring urgent medical intervention. After experiencing severe chest pain and difficulty breathing, he underwent testing and was diagnosed with Angina — a condition caused by restricted blood flow to the heart.

The treatment plan includes angioplasty and the insertion of stents, as well as medication and follow-up care. Without timely treatment, the situation could, chas v'shalom, become life-threatening.

Due to financial challenges following Covid, he no longer has access to private medical coverage. The public healthcare system in South Africa is extremely strained, with long waiting lists and poor conditions, and receiving this care through the government system simply isn’t an option.

This individual is not someone who would ask for help lightly. But right now, he truly needs us. Despite the significant medical costs, because of the weak South African Rand, the total amount needed to cover the procedure, medications, and consultations is only $4,000 — a goal that is within reach if we come together.
