Peace in Mind: Honoring Brianna Ghey and Cultivating Compassion
This go gund me page will be donated to "The campaign, a collaboration between Esther and the Warrington Guardian, seeks to fund Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) training courses for teachers. These courses will equip educators with the skills to guide children of all ages in developing mindfulness practices. https://www.gofundme.com/f/briannagheymemorial"
Brianna Ghey's tragic death in February 2023 at the age of 16 sent shockwaves through the community. Her mother, Esther, determined to prevent such senseless violence from happening again, launched a powerful campaign to empower young people with the tools to build resilience and promote kindness.
"Peace in Mind" aims to bring mindfulness techniques into schools, providing children with a safe and healthy way to process emotions, prevent mental health challenges, and build a more empathetic society.
Tom Bedworth, community reporter at the Warrington Guardian, emphasizes the community's shared grief and hope: "The whole town came together following Brianna's death, and we hope everyone will get behind our campaign. If we can make a difference to just one child, then we will have been successful."
With this in mind over May and April I will raising money by doing 400 Kilometers by walking/running and cycling !
Every contribution, big or small, helps. Share Brianna's story and support this important initiative to create a more compassionate future.
