4 ways to say LOVE: amour, amor, amore, and AMY

Cancer seems to affect even the nicest people. My cousin Amy is one of those people.
Amy had 25 rounds of radiation last May/June for a soft tissue sarcoma that was discovered in her thigh. She had surgery in June to remove the 15 centimeter tumor. After that she had a lot of physical therapy to help her learn to walk again without assistance.

In June she had a lung scan to see if a node that had previously been detected had grown. With this scan they also added a scan to check her leg due to the pain. Unfortunately both of the scans showed issues. She now has Sarcoma in her lungs, and the leg scan showed that she has another tumor in her leg which has grown so big (bigger than the first tumor) that it fractured her hip.

On Sunday July 31st, she ended up being admitted to Beaumont. It was determined that Amy has blood clots, and she had a “lump” on the outside of her leg and it was indeed the cancer. At the time of admission the lump had grown so large it ruptured.

To make a long story short, Amy started very painful radiation this past Monday, had a chemo port placed Wednesday, and has a consult in regards to what type of chemo may be available to her at U of M.
So as Amy would say, “the ball is rolling, prayers are in dire need and I’m freaking out” and now it our turn to help this dear person with some monetary love so she can feel a little peace with everyday needs and expenses etc.
Thank you for helping Amy when she can no longer help herself.
