4 (NOW 11 !) Marathons in 4 Countries for HOPE

Hi, I'm Simon Maskell, a husband to my beautiful wife, Candy, and a dad to 2 incredible sons, Benjamin (5) and Cameron (2). I am a proud Biokineticist (Clinical Exercise and Rehabilitation Specialist) working in London, United Kingdom.

I aim to complete 4 marathons in the 4 countries of the United Kingdom over the following 3 months - scratch that - within 33 days. ✅

This challenge has now been extended to completing 11 marathons in about 3 months !!!

This challenge is in support of:

1. Timothy Morris

Tim is one of my patients, a very close friend and one of my biggest supporters! Tim suffered a life-altering stroke in early December 2022 which has left him requiring constant care and prolonged rehabilitation.

2. Fulham Good Neighbours

A wonderful charity based in Fulham. London. I have had the privilege of offering my Biokinetics services to the beneficiaries of FGNS over the past 5 years. The members of my exercise classes inspire me through their positive attitudes and determination to live life to the full.

3. Joshua Patterson

I have had the pleasure of working with Josh, an ultra-endurance athlete, in his preparation for a world record attempt - 76 marathons in 76 cities in the UK, in 76 days. #Run41M

I will complete 4 marathons with Josh to support him during his mammoth challenge.

4. My personal growth and mental wellbeing

To show my sons, through action, that challenges provide us with opportunities to inspire others and to learn about ourselves.

Mom and Dad, I am eternally grateful for your unconditional love and support. Thank you for raising me in beautiful South Africa. Thank you for instilling me with a passion for life, the tenacity to achieve and the grit to be brave. I love you, always!

The funds raised will contribute to the care and rehabilitation required for my much-loved friend, Tim. Your support will provide him with hope for a brighter, more comfortable and more enjoyable recovery. I also aim to offer funds to Fulham Good Neighbours to enhance and extend our exercise classes online and in person to many more members of our community.

I put down a goal fundraising amount because I had to, however, I HOPE to raise so much more!
