Hi to everyone who is reading this page...

I know a lot of you have seen the fire that occurred  yesterday at 78-17 101st ave Ozone Park, NY 11416....

My best friend Cynthia Anne Ingram and her boyfriend Sebastian were among the 30 people affected by this fire.

Here is what happened: (All information provided is what she told me)

Cynthia had woken up that morning and went to go shower before work... while in the bathroom her boyfriend Sebastian started banging on the door. He told her that there was smoke coming into the home.. she got out of the shower and they tried to look for a way out. They lived on the basement of the floor and they couldn’t open the door because the deck above their entrance had completely collapsed trapping them inside and it was right next to the boiler and they were afraid it would explode at any minute due to the fire. Smoke filled the entire apartment within minutes while Cynthia called 911 to let them know that they were stuck... the fire fighters outside didn’t know there was anyone downstairs so they kept saying the  building is clear because they were told everyone was out . The only way out for them was through a window but it was surrounded by metal and an ac. Their home was completely pitch black their electricity had went out and smoke was everywhere.  They were able to take out the AC and scream for help and some neighbors broke the metal and helped them both out. Unfortunately she lost her two kitties in the fire Leo and Ollie. As well as everything she’s ever owned. They had all their earnings in cash and everything was burned. Her and sebastian literally left with barely clothes on them and that’s all they have left to their name.

I’m making this go fund me in hopes that we can help them get back on their feet and build a life again and be able to have a home of their own. I’m so grateful that their lives were saved and they are still here with us. I just want them to know that they’re not alone... and things will get better. Luckily they  were given a hotel room for two weeks and they’ll have some time to make arrangements. Anything given will be really appreciated.. clothes.. donations or even kind words.

If you guys have any questions, clothes for donations, or any details on affordable homes in queens for rent...you can reach out to me @ [email redacted]

Please also share the link and the story to get the word out to help Cynthia and Sebastian! Thank you so much.
