This is a very difficult time to say the least. Keri has been going through a very tough battle. Not too long ago she had undergone a very serious major surgery. While pregnant a watermelon size tumor and orange size tumor were found on her ovaries. The larger one crushed and killed her ovary resulting in removal of both tumors and one full ovary and one half ovary as well as her appendix. At the same time she had a large amount of kidney stones some measuring at 6mm some at 4mm. This also required removal of the stones and stents put in place. After the surgery the incision became infected and required more hospitalization. Keri was still feeling urinary track infection symptoms and had them do a scan for more stones but found only a few unproblematic stones and no blockages. The doctors assumed the pain was from the surgery. As weeks went by the pain had only grown,so much that normal day to day tasks were not achievable. She followed up with the urologist in hopes of getting any type of relief. She was then told she would need another cat scan and she were to return back after getting the results. When retiring to the urologist they read the ct scans and decided they needed a closer look. During this in office procedure to look further into the issue a large tumor was found inside of her bladder. She was then referred to the urologist oncologist. This new dr decided that it would be in her best interest to undergo a biopsy of the tumor. The results are unbelievable. The cancer is a very rare and aggressive form of malignant tumor that has spread through the bladder wall to the outside within weeks. Due to the size and damage caused Keri’s bladder will have to be removed entirely and she will have to undergo extensive chemotherapy treatment for many months. If this isn’t hard enough she has 6 kids and many animals and a husband who is taking on more than w any normal person can withstand. The Rodney family needs as much support as possible so her husband Joe may be by her side through the most difficult of times.
