Road to Recovery; God's story of Chris Karlowsky

On March 2nd 2019 Our Family received earth shattering news. Chris was riding motorcycle's at a local track with his beautiful daughter Kayla, neighborhood friend Cody, and his friend Sam. Chris and Kayla rode around for a bit as Chris was teaching her some fundamentals of riding and getting in a bit of a work out. He began to feeling very winded and complained of chest and back pain once back at the truck. Insisting he would be ok he encourage Kayla to keep on having fun but to ride close by so he could take some photos of her as he rested. So Kayla prepared to ride again but as she turned around to say bye to Dad he had collapsed.  By the grace of God Sam and Cody were coming back to the vehicles as Kayla called for help.  Without hesitation Sam told Cody to call 911 and heroically started CPR and continued until Emergency personnel arrived on scene. The ambulance crew continued with life saving efforts until arriving at the hospital and confirmation of a steady heartbeat was given. They stabilized him and quickly had him in for surgery where they placed a stent in his LAD which was 100% blocked. This allowed regular blood flow throughout his heart and body so it could begin the healing process. The swift actions by his friends and family are the only reason why my brother is still with us and for that our Family is so very thankful.
Chris is currently in the hospital on a ventilator and a week later he has finally shown multiple positive signs of recovery.  Our families faith is strong as we encourage one another and receive encouragement and strength from friends. Many have asked how they can help as I have searched my heart for what I can do as many of us feel helpless. PRAYER is #1 and we all know that is the most powerful tool we have.  We also need to help Chris, Sheila, Dylan, and Kayla with the expenses above and beyond that their insurance will cover.
