hi everyone,

my name is alex, and my fiancée emily and i are reaching out with love, hope, and a little bit of vulnerability. we’ve been dreaming of building our family together, and for us, that dream comes with some extra challenges. as a queer couple, starting a family isn’t as simple or affordable as it can be for others—it takes extra steps, planning, and unfortunately, more financial resources.

on top of this, i am also working toward a huge personal milestone: getting top surgery. this surgery would mean everything for me—it’s not just a medical procedure, it’s the next step in my transition, and it would allow me to live fully and authentically as myself.

emily and i have been working so hard to make these dreams possible on our own. i do social media, tattoos, side jobs and uber to make ends meet, while emily has been building her own sourdough bread business, crotchet, pet sitting and babysitting. we’re proud of how much we’ve hustled, but we’ve realized that sometimes, it’s okay to ask for help.

this gofundme will go directly toward:

• family planning costs (fertility treatments, legal fees, etc.)

• top surgery & recovery

• basic expenses to give us a stable foundation as we grow our family
