Hi! I'm a disabled college student and am attempting to purchase an electric wheelchair. I have hypermobile spectrum disorder, which means that I do not have enough collagen in my body to hold my joints in place. This makes it impossible to walk without pain, and often difficult to walk at all. Because this condition affects my entire body, it also means that I cannot operate a non-electronic wheelchair without extreme pain in my arms and often the dislocation of my shoulders. I need an electronic wheelchair to get to class and participate in life on my car-less college campus, and I do not have the financial ability to purchase one for myself at the moment. I have found the cheapest option I can for a wheelchair, and even $5 would help me get closer to reaching that goal.
