Please Help Senior Citizen & Cats Through This Tough Time

I’m 61 and was laid off just before Labor Day 2024, it’s been 7 months of job hunting. I’m a software engineer and have never seen it this bad. Now, my savings are gone, my mortgage is past due, and I have no family to turn to for help.

I never thought it would come to this. I truly never did. I always worked hard and somehow kept things going. Now, with tech layoffs making my job search endless, and expenses mounting, I am truly afraid. The only reason I bought this house is because of my fur babies. They mean everything to me.
