In Memory Of Francisco Berrios

On Saturday April 11, 2020 at 11:30 p.m. I got a call that changed my life. I lost the person who loved and gave me everything since birth, my father and best friend, Francisco Berrios. He passed two days before his 60th birthday due to Covid-19. He put up a good fight but it was time for him to rest and I am grateful that he is at peace now. I was fortunate enough to get special visitation on his last day so that my nephew, Angel and I could say everything that needed to be said and to be able to hold him one last time.
My father was a good man, the best person I ever had the privilege of knowing and loving. He loved deeply, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for those he loved and considered family or friends. My father was a hard-working man and the sole provider for me and Angel. He never complained and worked to give us every opportunity for a better life, because of my father I was able to go to college and graduate with a nursing degree. I will forever be lucky because he was my father.
Due to my father’s passing, at 23 years old, I am left to take care of everything from making funeral arrangements, to figuring out how to pay bills/mortgage to filing paperwork I know nothing about in order to pay for expenses. I have my mother’s help but she is a thousand miles away and cannot come to us due to travel restrictions and fear of helping aid the spread of this virus. I honestly don’t know what I am doing most days and the pain comes in waves but never stops.
The purpose of this GoFundMe, created by my neighbors who have been a blessing during this time, is to ask anyone who can give even the smallest amount to help support Angel and I while we learn to navigate our new world. We appreciate everyone who has already helped us and those who continue to want to help us going forward. I know I am not alone in this, my family and friends have been there every step of the way. I cannot thank everyone enough.
THANK YOU,
Angelica Berrios and Angel Bland ♥
