Help Dave Draper With His Cancer Fight
Donation protected
I am writing this on behalf of my parents, Dave and Peachie Draper. For anyone who doesn't know my parents, I assure you that they are two of the most amazing people I have ever known. They have worked so hard their entire lives and have just been dealt a tough hand.
My dad has worked in retail management for as long as I can remember. I thought it was the coolest thing ever when I was a kid and my dad worked at Kiddie City. He has spent his life working at Paper Cutter, Lumber Liquidators, and Home Depot. He always gives 100% to any job he has ever done.
My parents are very giving people who do not like to take in return. One of my dad's favorite things had been baking and creating delicious pastries, cakes, and other desserts for his coworkers. My parents have a hard time asking for help and probably never would if I didn't do this. Unfortunately, they need this support.
My dad, Dave, finished up 9 weeks of radiation treatment for prostate cancer like a champ during the COVID shutdown. As he was finishing up with that, we found out some pretty tough news. My dad has Stage 4 liver cancer. It has metastasized to his lungs and lymph nodes. He had to take a medical leave from work and has to pay insurance premiums, co pays, and other medical bills.
He has already started Chemotherapy and will soon undergo more radiation. He is exhausted and I am sure more side effects from these treatments are just around the corner.
The money raised from this will go directly to medical coverage and bills. I would love to help alleviate some of the stress they are going through by helping to take care of some of those worries for them. I would give anything to change what we have been dealt. I love my parents so much and wish I could take this pain away.
