Kim's IVF Journey

"All I've ever wanted to be is a mom" is a frequent statement from my friend Kim Mello, but becoming a parent isn't always as easy as one would think. When she finally realized becoming a mom was something she was going to have to do on her own, she started the process of fertility treatments. She was advised to start with intrauterine inseminations, but after 5 of those failed at 3k a piece, she was told IVF treatments would be the next step. She did every advised test and procedure to ensure this cycle would take, but even after 35k and all of her efforts, she just recently found out it was unsuccessful. She is devastated.

the IVF clinic made some unfortunate mistakes that cost her valuable time and extra money. I know she's crushed, but being as determined as she is, she's decided to keep going. She would never ask anyone for help, so that's where this campaign comes in. The next round will cost her 25-35k, and she has been selling personal items, taking out personal loans, and she even moved back in with her parents to try and afford the treatments. It's heartbreaking to see her willing to give up anything to make this work, and I'm optimistic this next one will take. She's the most compassionate, selfless person, and I'm positive she will be the most amazing Mother.

I know she's been counting each day, each month, each year that goes by without having a child of her own, and I know for sure that 3 years ago when she started this journey, she didn't expect finances to be the number one road block.
