Help My Mother Get Life-Saving Surgery

My name is Bazama Alli. I am originally from Togo, and I came to the United States seeking a better life and the chance to support my family back home. Sadly, just three months after arriving, I lost my father to diabetes due to the lack of adequate treatment and financial resources in my country.

Now, my mother is facing her own health battle. She has been struggling with severe back pain and abdominal pain for months and unable to perform daily task . Because of the limited medical equipment available in Togo, I had to send her to neighboring Benin for proper testing. She went through X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and finally a biopsy.

The results brought heartbreaking news:

She has a herniated disc in three different areas, requiring urgent surgery.

She was also diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer (squamous cell carcinoma), and doctors have recommended a chemotherapy and radiotherapy as part of her treatment.

In Togo and Benin, there is no medical insurance system. Everything must be paid out of pocket in cash from hospital stays to surgeries, medications, and follow-up care. These costs are far beyond what I can manage alone.
