Jake and Isabella's home repair

My son and daughter in law (Jake and Isabella) had their home basically destroyed in Hurricane Florence. They evacuated to Winchester Virginia during the storm and arrived back home last night to find the carnage. They have home insurance, but the deductible for wind and storm damage is 5% of the value of the home, or $5800.  They just purchased this home over a year ago and the young couple could really use some help. They will hopefully be able to move on base (Jake is a US Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune) until the home is repaired, thanks to the corp, but it's a real mess. Jake is willing to sell his truck to help meet the deductible, but what a price to pay for a young couple just trying to make it. I don't know exactly how this gofundme thing works, but I thought I would put it out there for them. I wish I had 6K myself to help them, but I don't
