Jamie Wawrzyniak and Ryan Fligiel welcomed their son,  Michael Ryan,  to the world  on June 23, 2020; 11 weeks early.  He  was born via C-section weighing 2 pounds and 15 ounces, 15 inches  long. Michael was initially placed on a breathing tube but quickly improved and placed  on  a CPAP machine.  As he continued to improve, he was taken off the CPAP, placed on oxygen, and a day later,  was breathing on his own.  He now weighs 3 pounds and is improving on a daily basis.  Michael will probably stay in the hospital until his due date, September 6.

Jamie is still recovering from surgery, and due to the sick leave policy of her employer, will have to take all her paid leave before Michael comes home.  She can take additional leave when Michael comes home, but it will be unpaid.

The goal of this  fundraiser is to raise money to cover Jamie's unpaid leave so she can be with Michael when he comes home.
