Support for Sandy

Sandy has already been through the unthinkable: the sudden and unexpected loss of her husband in May. She has been struggling emotionally, as he was the love of her life, and they were married for over 30 years. Additionally, due to complications with his change in insurance, she was left struggling financially. Now, she faces yet another struggle, physically. She recently saw a doctor about some sinus issues only to discover that she has a cancerous tumor behind one eye which is stage 4. Due to the tumor’s location, her team of doctors are reluctant to operate and have decided to treat the tumor with aggressive chemotherapy for 3 months. If the tumor doesn’t shrink, she will endure another 3 months of chemotherapy combined with radiation. Starting next week, Sandy will be driving to the James Cancer Center for treatment and will not be able to work for six months (She is self employed, cleaning homes). She is going to need gas money, food money, living expenses... The last thing she needs right now is worry over finances.
