My friend Jessie’s car just broke down and she needs it to get to work and to church, and to just get around. The transmission went out on it and will cost at least $6,000 to fix. It may even come down to getting a new car.

She has been so wonderfully generous herself, coming to read to my disabled daughter Evelyn at home regularly for the past couple of years, especially when Evelyn wasn’t able to go to school after a major surgery. Prior to that, she read to, and did art with Evelyn at school when she was a para for her.

She still works as a paraprofessional in special education, a job she was made for.

She is warm and kind, and deserves some help during this very stressful time.
