Helping a Friend ♡

Yesterday was an EXTREMELY scary day for a friend I've known for over 25 yrs. She has a young daughter and a newborn son. Yesterday at 2pm, she ran to walmart in New Berlin on Greenfield Ave & Mooreland Rd. to get some things she needed. Upon leaving Cori saw the man putting his cart behind her car so she yelled to him to put it away. He said no, that they pay people to do that. So she asked that he didn't leave it behind her car. He then went charging at her and attacked. She was pushing the cart with her newborn son  his carrier in it and her daughter was walking along side it. She moved away from them and put her hands up to protect herself. He got her to the ground and proceeded to punch and kick her and took her keys. Once he let up she stood up and went to him to get her keys back. He then threw her keys into the parking lot further and attacked her again, but this time by grabbing her by her hair and dragging her to the ground throwing punches and kicks again. Her daughter was very smart and in the heat of the moment went to get the keys so they wouldn't be taken again. Once the man let up again he pushed the cart STILL with her newborn son in it into the parking lot and got into his car. She was able to get up fast and go after the cart to get her son and get him to safety. By this time witnesses came to her aid but unfortunately the damage was already done leaving her with bruises, scrapes, chunks of her hair missing from her head, and a concussion. One lady tried to stop the man from leaving but he hit her with his car while backing up. Luckily that lady and another witness were able to get pictures of his car and license plate before he sped off. The man was a white male in his 60s and his wife was with him hiding in the car. His wife kept trying to tell him to just leave, almost as if he has done something like this before. The police were notified and upon identifying him on camera he was later taken into custody and charged with assault and battery, endangering a child among other charges.  He is now sitting in Waukesha County Jail. Thankfully her children were unharmed. It is a mothers worst nightmare being alone and fearing for your children's lives. I put her in contact with Fox 6 and they are meeting with her tomorrow to make a report. She needs help. She is banged up, cut up, bruised and again, has a concussion. This is unreal. She will be looking for a personal injury attorney and filing a lawsuit against this man.  Please help her in paying for anything that seems to come up pertaining to this attack.  Anything helps! If you cannot donate, please at least share for her. Let's help her get the justice her and her children deserve.
