My name is Jeremy Tyree a residential of 410 West 79th Street Chicago IL 60620. During this unseen pandemic on May 19, 2020 a fire broke out at the store at the corner of 79th and Vincennes at 5:12 am in the early morning I could hear glass shattering. So I rushed downstairs because I was afraid my barbers business was being broken into to learn the buildings corner store was on fire covered in flames. I rushed into the building banging on doors waking neighbors and got my sister and rushed out the front because the back exit was covered in blackened smoke. After making sure my sister, neighbors, and the children were out we watched for 8 hours as first responders tried to fight the fire which burned 12 apartment units destroying everything within its path. We have no shoes, no clothes, no under garments, no food, or toiletries. No wash cloths, no soap, no toothpaste or tooth brushes or hair grooming needs. We are without shelter without the basic needed necessities of life. I watched as my apartment fall from the third floor to the first in a ball of flames. My belongs my sisters my daughters we lost everything but we have our lives and each other. I’m not the type to ask for help however I have no other option but to hope anyone can help in anyway and I’m thankful and appreciative for anyone who can help even a simple share of this or a prayer.
