Help FF/PM Jay Gorecki In A Time Of Need

As many of you know by now, Firefighter Jay Gorecki suffered multiple burns earlier in the day while working at his home in Palatine. Today is also Jay's birthday. Today was suppose to be a good day, but all that changed in an instant for Jay.
Today Jay suffered approx. 30-40 percent burns to his body, with a majority of them being 2nd and 3rd degree. His road to recovery will be long and difficult.
Typically Jay is helping others as a member of the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District. Jay has been employed with the department for over 15 years and is a member of the TRT and Dive Team. If you met Jay only one time, I can assure you that you would remember Jay for years to come. Jay also works many second jobs to help support his family. All this work will no longer be able to be done with his injuries.
