Help Anya pay for surgery

Short story: Anya needs reconstructive kidney surgery. The big one.
Long story: Yep. That’s me in the picture. Living my best life surfing in Hawaii a million years ago. A place I’d like to be physically some day again. But no, a vacation is not what I’m here to ask for.
My life took a bit of a turn in 2017, on the heels of a thyroid tumor, when an MRI found my right kidney swollen, something called hydronephrosis due to a ureteral stricture. The docs don’t know why this happened, only that it’s possible it was damaged in an accident. After 5 years, 6 stents, 3 doctors, 5 minor and 1 major surgery, I found myself facing a tough decision: fight for my kidney or take it out. After all, one can live a full life with one working kidney.
If you know me at all, you probably guessed it, I chose to fight. I chose to jump through the hoops, and take the tests, and get a temporary nephrostomy tube placed in my back, (going on month 4), which causes a lot of pain and discomfort.
Luckily, I have a team of doctors who have agreed to reconstruct my innards and it should be an end to this nightmare. My situation is complicated, the recovery is long, but the success rate is high! Alas, I am beginning to lose the fight against medical debt.
If you are at all in a position to help me (because I just love asking for help), I would be grateful beyond words for any donation.
Some day I hope to be able to give back and help others, maybe even you.
Thank you! For reading, for thinking, for donating or not donating and holding your loved ones close. Life is worth it.
