Help Us get our first car!

My partner Renika and I just graduated from Portland Youth Builders (PYB)! PYB trains students 18-26 years old for apprenticeships in the construction trades. We’re so grateful we were accepted into this program. We worked hard for eight solid weeks and earned membership into the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI), CPR, and OSHA 10. We’re in line for our  BOLI Tier 1. The final step is for each of us to get a car and insurance. After that, we can apply for our apprenticeships in tree trimming, a 2 year training program. Renika and I are excited to be on this career path and couldn’t do it without the support of our friends and families and our incredible community at PYB.
