Support Abigail & Elisha Johnson

Dear friends,

Maya Johnson, a wife and a mother of two, was born on March 11th, 1977. She was raised in California and comes from a family of 5 siblings where she was the glue that brought the family together. Maya was family oriented, spiritual, and was a wonderful mother. She was loved by everyone she knew. Maya had a caring heart and an open mind, she would offer her home to a person in need.

Last weekend Maya Johnson was delivering her baby girl, while the doctors were performing an emergency c-section she went into cardiac arrest. The doctors were able to revive her, but because of the lack of oxygen to her brain it resulted in significant brain damage and she lost all neurological function. Her health declined over the next week and she passed on Tuesday August 13th.

Maya leaves behind her newborn baby girl Elisha that would never know how wonderful her mother was, her 8 year-old daughter Abigail that can't even fathom the loss of her own mother, and husband David who will have to raise these two beautiful children without Maya. We're still trying to wrap our minds around this tragedy and the pain the family is enduring. We are looking to raise donations for the family during this difficult time to provide a level of security for the future of Abigail and newborn baby girl Elisha.
