International LOVE Story Newlyweds
Sarah and Nathan Doupe were in a serious car accident on November 30th as they were traveling home to New Brunswick, Canada. They had gone to the States to celebrate American Thanksgiving with Sarah’s family. Sarah miraculously came out of the accident with bumps and bruises. Nathan fractured C6 & C7. He was transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center where he had from C4-T2 stabilized during surgery. After spending 17 days in Bangor Maine, they have returned to Canada for Nathan to have further treatment and rehab.
Nathan will be out of work for an unknown amount of time and Sarah has taken 8 weeks of leave to be with Nathan. They have already incurred many expenses due to the accident (lodging so Sarah could be near Nathan while in Bangor Maine being the largest one) and now have medical bills that are accumulating as well. Since the accident happened outside of Canada only a small portion of the bills will be covered by the car insurance and New Brunswick Medicare.
Sarah is back home in Lower Kintore, New Brunswick with their pups and will be traveling daily 45 minutes each way to be with Nathan during his recovery.
Sarah and Nathan are newlyweds and after a year of living apart due to immigration were finally able to create a home together in August of this year. They only got 3 months of being happily married and living in the same home before the accident occurred.
They appreciate any help that can be given.
Since this is an American based fundraiser, funds are exchanged at current exchange rate through t Gofundme. For anyone in Canada wishing to help Sarah and Nathan's church are collecting cards/donations for them. Here is their address if anyone would like to send mail.
