Rachel’s Road to Recovery

On Saturday, February 23, at around 3 am, our sweet Rachel was driving home from work when she was cut off by a suspected drunk driver. She swerved to avoid the other vehicle, and as a result hit the median and subsequently overturned her car. Rachel suffered a broken arm, a punctured lung, and several cuts, burns, and other injuries to her face. Rachel has already undergone one (very successful!) surgery on her arm, but has other surgeries forthcoming as well as a long road to recovery.

Rachel is the kindest, most positive human being, and the greatest friend to anyone who is lucky enough to call her one. While no one is deserving of something like this, our hearts are especially going out to Rachel at this time. Our hope is for Rachel and her family to be able to focus as fully on her recovery as possible, for whatever length of time that be. However, as with any accident involving medical care, there is always a resulting financial burden. For this reason, we are asking anyone who is able to help contribute and help our sweet friend. These funds will go towards medical expenses, travel and lodging expenses for her family who have travelled from Ohio to be with her, to compensate for time lost from work for both Rachel and her family, and any other expenses Rachel and her family may incur. Any small amount helps. And for those who may be unable to support financially, prayers, good vibes, and positive thoughts are equally as welcome and appreciated. 

Rachel, you are so incredibly loved! We are all thinking of you. While we know this is going to be a tough road, we also know that if anyone can come out on the other side stronger, it’s you.
