Bruce's family owns a small business in Plymouth and stopped paying for health insurance during the pandemic.

Bruce is a kind, intelligent, and strong 12-year-old who recently underwent a 10-hour brain surgery and is fighting to recover. He's doing fantastic - but it is a longer road to recovery than initially thought. He will transition from the hospital to an intensive outpatient rehabilitation plan while at home, which will require daily visits.

Bruce is a fighter. He's been managing extensive food allergies since he went into anaphylactic shock after eating his 1-year-old birthday cake and navigating the past year of chronic gastritis symptoms.

His parents are committed to giving Bruce all the support he needs to reclaim his mobility and health. This requires PT and OT interventions, specialized nutrition, and continued medical support. Unfortunately, these expenses are unrealistic for any family to afford alone, especially for a local business owner without the option to take paid leave or sick days.
