Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my brother, Louie, or as I lovingly call him, Booch. Recently, Booch was diagnosed with cancer, and life as he knew it has drastically changed. He’s begun chemotherapy treatments, which come with immense physical and emotional challenges. Every month, he fights through the sickness, enduring the side effects of treatment that leave him weak and bedridden for the majority of the week.
As you can imagine, it’s been a long and tough road. Louie tried to apply for disability to help support him through this time, but he’s been stuck in the system for months, sitting as case number 150 with no answers or guarantees. His unemployment has now expired, and without any income coming in.
His girlfriend has been a true angel in all of this, taking on the heavy load of supporting both of them physically and emotionally. She helps him with his treatments, doctors' appointments, and the day-to-day care he needs. Despite everything, I don't want them running out of resources and are now in a place where we are all doing what we can to help, but it's simply not enough.
The medical bills are piling up, and we don’t know how much longer I can let them continue without help. Louie cannot work due to his ongoing appointments and the constant battle with his illness. We’re humbly asking for your support, whether it's financial or in the form of encouragement and prayers. Anything helps. We are trying to ease their burden so Louie can focus on getting better, rather than worrying about how to pay bills or what will happen next.
Please consider donating, sharing, or simply keeping Louie in your thoughts as he navigates this difficult journey. Your kindness and generosity would mean the world to him and to all of us who are trying to be there for him.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With gratitude,
Little Sister, Lydia
