Help my Hero

My name is Mel. I am raising money for my dad Don. He is 72 years old and has lost his home due to a renter who set his house on fire. Thank God, he was not hurt and got out in time, thanks to his friend who happened to be staying with him for 1 night. He has not only lost his home if 30+ year, he lost everything in it due to his kindness of renting to a stranger as times are tight for everyone and he needed help to pay bills.

If you have ever met my dad, you would agree that he’s a proud man, and he would give the shirt off of his back for anyone. I have watched him help countless people because he could and it’s who he is. As a result, a renter brought her boyfriend into the house who was angry with her and he set her things on fire. The house now has to be torn down. He has to replace everything including his clothes. If we could raise some funds to help him replace what was lost it would take so much pressure off of him. He will have to rent and furnish a new place, not to mention all of his clothes and personal belongings.

My dad has always helped me and never asks for anything from anyone. He has a heart of gold and that was taken advantage of. Any amount would help. If I can raise money for rent, damage deposit and all of the things needed to get him started, I would be beyond grateful.

Thank you in advance. The man who did this is in jail. He has a roof over his head and 3 meals a day, my dad not so much.
