Helping Nick
Donation protected
I was asked to organize this in an effort to help a very close family friend, Nick Neavitt. For years, there has been a small growth on his arm. He has been in and out of countless doctors offices looking for answers. They have done nothing but push him from doctor to doctor, continuously assuring him ‘that he is fine’ ‘it is not cancer or anything to worry about’ even being told at one point, ‘it’s normal’?! We’ll, earlier this year, our worst fears were confirmed when Nick was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma. This has now quickly spread to his lungs. He is only 28 years young and undergoing aggressive chemotherapy in Miami for the next 5 days. After that, he must go to Deerfield 3 times a week following each session in Miami for scans and blood work. That consist of one cycle. He will do 8 cycles of this. Roughly 6 months of treatment in hopes that he can kick this cancers butt. During which time he will not be able to work. Nick 5 yr old son that is his world. He is trying everything in his power to make sure this does not effect his life. However, between traveling three times a week 2 1/2 hours away, and the cost of assuring family support, he is unable to pay his rent, and utilities or even basic needs for his son while he is receiving his treatment. He is on the verge of eviction. We just want him to be able to get some worry off his shoulders. His family helps all they can. But it's just not enough. And because of this he stays in a state of constant stress, which is exactly what he doesn't need. He is so young, and nobody deserves this. If you have it in you or the availability, ANY little bit helps. Even a simple share of this page to help get the word out. Please feel free to message me privately if you are able to help in ways other than financial. (I.e. cheap/free transportation for family, food or meal donations) every thing counts and he appreciates all of you!
