Sunday update!

hi everybody! Ruby went into the hospital yesterday. They admitted her. She was hours away from shock. Her heart beat was faint and low. Skin color ect. She was severely dehydrated. She got fluids and more meds plus tube feeding. This am her report was about the same-a little bit more bright and friendly. This evening or late afternoon, the dr said she’s been sleeping all day, just getting stronger. Tomorrow I am going to go see her and discuss our plan to move forward with the ct tmrw afternoon. Thank you for all the hope and support. Ruby wouldn’t be here with us right now if not for all of you helping finically back her medical bills. I couldn’t have done it without each one of you! Thank you so much!

Another update; her beak is visually fractured its horrible. She needs surgery. I am taking her home with meds. I have two days to come up with the money for ct and surgery or euthanase her. Words cannot even express the pain i am in knowing shes in pain. My little boy is on the way to the vet to get me and learn what’s going on. Please pray for her & him.

UPDATE #2 ; for everyone who has asked for the info to help Ruby , thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am attaching the paperwork and vets number so they can take direct payments. They do need you to email them with a picture of your id and that you are authurizing them to charge your card.

UPDATE: i just talked to the dr, Ruby has lost a lot of blood. They are worried about Tramatic brain injury bc of all the trauma on and around her face/beak she does have a wound on her beak like on the hinge. She will need a ct to see how bad it is and if it needs corrective surgery. She needs to stay to be monitored . The next 12-24 are critical. She needs medication- pain meds, inflammatory meds, iron injection, eye drops ect. I cant Let her die oh my heart is absolutely breaking. They recommended her staying the night, at this time im just staying at the vet while she recovers in the back.

I’m going to ask for printed paperwork so i can post that and if they can take payments over the phone for Ruby. I have never needed to write one of these these posts and im not sure i even sound ok bc im panicked and scared. But anyone who would be willing to help ruby, i can send bitd toys to i started a small business making bird toys.

My little conure got off her kiwi play stand and got up on my gray’s cage and got into a fight. I immediately got in the car and headed to the vet-I didn’t put a bra on or wear shoes-I literally ran to the car and just started driving. We are at our avian vet now, she is stable in the incubator. She is a light in our life and my little boys sunshine. I mean he loves her fiercely, he’s 7. I don’t have any and I mean any money right now. I don’t know what to do. I’ve been declined for all the credit cards, care credit, cherry-you name it. My credit was the first thing to go when I lost my job earlier this year.

I guess I’m asking if anyone has had a bird lose an eye and be okay?
