My brother & his family

Hi everyone, my name is john and I am trying to raise funds for my brother & his family who got screwed over by his builder, He was having a double storey extension built as advised by CAHMS as his 2 oldest daughters needed their own rooms as his oldest has autism and the next youngest is currently being diagnosed with ADHD & autism and his son needed a room of his own. so they saved as much money as they could and re-mortgaged their house to the full value to be able to do this. the work began on 13th march 2023 and was supposed to last 8-12 weeks, because this wasn't too long a period my mother suggested he use her house and she would move out for this period, 12 months later my mum and brother and his family don't have their own houses, the builder took £62,200 and did a half assed job on the bits he did do, then put his company into liquidation so they can't get anything back off him, he has left the house with no electrics, water or gas. He left the building open to the elements for 5 months causing even more damage and cost as everything is now mouldy in the main house. Even after a year the house isn't liveable, a new builder has been around and given them another quote to make the house liveable which will now cost them another £45,000 which they don't have. And to top it all off environmental health have been on telling them they need to clear the waste that the builder left behind.

I am hoping to add photos to show the state of how the builder left his house and what needs to be ripped out and replaced.

UPDATE

Just updated the post, to get the house watertight is going to cost them £20000 he has managed to save £3000 up himself so I’ve change the target to £17000 just to get the house sorted outside so then he can start to think about the inside.
