My dads funeral ❤️

Donation protected

My father, someone always so happy, someone who would always bring those around him joy. My dad passed away. My father wasn’t perfect. I’ll always admit that. He was someone who had a problem with drinking. The only reason I say this out loud it because it’s a fact. He had his inner demons. I know many other out there do too.
How I wish he would have stopped his addiction. How I wish things could have been so different the last few years.
Regardless of that side of him, he was someone we still loved very much. I wish he was in front of me so I could tell him.
How I wish I could hug him.
How I wish I could have known that this was gods plan for you today.
He was perfectly fine yesterday.

He was my pops.
He was someone that would tell us jokes during the summer in the AMs
He was someone that was so proud of us in every accomplishment we had.
In my youth, he was the cool parent that would let me hang out with my friends while my mom said no.

His biggest most proudest moment was that we didn’t end up like him.

He always felt that he was a bad example for us. But if I’m not mistaken, a bad example is someone that does bad things and influences you to do the same stuff.
Well dad, we didn’t fall under the same addictions that you did.
And I know that right there is something you were always happy to see.
You were happy to see us thrive in ways you didn’t get to due to the inner demons inside.

Regardless of all of that I will always love you. You always thought we hated you but we didn’t. We hated your addiction but never you.

I love you and I wish I could tell you that.
I wish this wasn’t reality.

Please friends. Hold your parents close this holiday season, spend that extra time with them. We never know when our time comes so please take advantage of your loved ones always.
This losing a parent thing is a severe pain that I don’t wish on anyone.

We love you pops.
We always will.

This is an expense we weren’t expecting and I am going to be completely honest, we don’t have very much right now.

I ask your help. Please help us, anything you can give will greatly help our situation. I want to give my dad a great service.
