Help for Hospital bills

Hi guys! My name is Adilen, I'm a 24 y/o full time student at Otis college of art and design and also worked full time as a customer service and social media specialist before my accident. Three months ago I suffered neck injury at a friends pool that left me in a half body brace for over three months with no source of income and bills to pay (rent, phone, insurance, utilities and medical) so far I've racked up $159,000 in just hospital bills and my insurance keeps denying my claims. What happened:

A friend and I were going into a pool at the same time and they accidentally landed wrong on me and I immediately felt a lot of pressure in my head and burst into tears. I thought it was a pinched nerve at first but the pain was so severe I asked a family member to take me to the ER where I waited 12 hours to be seen and another 4 hours to get a ct scan. Once they realized what was wrong I was surrounded by multiple neurosurgeons who told me not to move as they held me by my head, neck, torso and legs then lifted me onto a gurney and rolled me to the ICU. They explained to me that I had crushed and dislocated my c2 and c3 vertebrae and I have the option to get neck surgery to fuse my bones that would mean a faster recovery time but also losing 50% of my neck mobility or install a halo brace id have to wear for a few months as my body healed itself. I opted for a halo brace that covers my chest and torso and is installed into my head with 4 pins to the outer portion of my skull. I stayed in the ICU for a few days to make sure I didn't loose any motor skills or become paralyzed I also learned how to move around in my brace and got physical therapy until I was discharged by the neuro department. Im finally reaching the end of my recovery time and im getting a smaller neck brace for a few weeks until I regain my strength and learn how to move my head again.
