Support Steven's Battle Against Colon Cancer

Dear friends and family and kind supporters,

I am writing today with a heavy heart to share about Steven's situation. Recently, Steven received the dreaded news that he has colon cancer. His doctor has said that it has been caught early and has not spread, but he is facing surgery to remove the mass. His doctors have said that his healing time will be about 6 weeks, but due to his career, he will not be able to return to work for a good four months and for some odd reason has been denied unemployment benefits.

Steven is a hard-working contractor, making it difficult to work until he is fully healed due to the manual labor that his job requires. Because of this, he is very concerned about the normal monthly bills for his household and medical bills with not being able to work.

Steven is a wonderful father to 4 kids and grandpa to two adorable grandsons. He is also a helpful and loyal son to his parents, an amazing partner to me, and a great friend to many! He has a great support group that will help during these difficult times to come, being there for him mentally and physically.

I am setting this up on his behalf since he has never been one to ask for help, but has always been the one to take care of himself as well as everyone else in need around him. We humbly and urgently ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter the size, will bring him closer to being able to keep paying his rent, housing expenses, and all of the accumulating medical bills.
