Help Us Help A Dear Friend Brent Cox

Hi everyone my name is Danielle. I had the pleasure of working with Brent for the last ten months. He befriended me quickly and always made me feel welcomed. He was like a father of the shop, always encouraging, and giving us all good advice. We all looked forward to working with him daily. We enjoyed listening to R&B throwbacks while working and joking around to pass time. He would share stories of his younger days and always boast about his beautiful daughter, who looks just like him! On Tuesday June 6, 2017 we all worked together and Brent was allowed to leave early. He explained he was going to help a friend with their car, as he always was working on cars even on his off time. That day he wouldn't make it to his destination or home. As he sat at a stop light at Grand and Cass a car barreled through traffic flipping our dear friends occupied vehicle into the air almost demolishing it, and trapped Brent inside the totaled vehicle. This was a result of a high speed police chase, yet again hurting an innocent civilian. Brent would then wake up in a hospital not knowing where he was or what happened. As a result of this accident he would learn he had suffered a broken back, broken leg, needing staples in his head, a lacerated liver, and not only an illness he was not aware of. If you know Brent it is not in his nature to sit still, he was always working on cars or staying busy. At his age and with these serious injuries it's going to take a lot of down time, surgeries, and physical therapy. Work will be out of the question for quite sometime! But we are thankful that he is still with us!!! As you know this will be very costly and insurance only covers so much. At this time we are asking for anything towards the living expenses he is going to occur durring this course of healing. Even prayers and positive vibes are being asked for as well. We all know the power of prayer and positivity does work. I want to thank you all in advance, even if you can only read this, at least we are getting this out there, and maybe we can all come together and show Brent how much we all care for him!!
