My name is Megan McCullough and this is my story.

in September of 2024, I finally broke free from my abusive ex. Since then, I’ve had a world of terror. My three animals were court ordered through a restraining order that was set based on false accusations. All three of these animals were mine before hand and was proven and still overlooked. For almost 6 months, I did not see my babies again. We finally agreed in court and I got them back. In these 8-9 months he has cost me everything. I found 4 trackers over the course of 4-5 months. I then had to pay off 13,000 dollars on my car, because he was a signer and legally gave him the “right” to “protect his assets”. After this, charges were made and he obtained 7 felonies and a misdemeanor for tracking, stalking, and fraud. I’ve spent countless dollars on lawyer fees to defend myself and what it felt like begging for a restraining order against him. He was arrested two separate occasions, on bail, and bailed out. He showed up to my place of work countless times, till he was permanently banned, resulting in me being escorted by security every night in fear for my life. This didn’t stop much though, he stalked me any change he got. He showed up to a bar my friends and I had gotten to, assaulted my friend by throwing a drink in her face, approached multiple cops and told them he “had a restraining order on me” and to “arrest me”, on November 22nd. I received death threats from fake numbers more times than I can count. I finally was granted a restraining order again him on March 12th… He allegedly hacked into my bank accounts, drained accounts, opened loans in my name, cards, and more. I could go on for days.. these are only a few of the incidents I was dealing with.

After all that is said, Friday may 9th I went out with some friends. When I got home, I made it merely a few steps from my car before I was brutally assaulted, leaving a trail of blood from my car to the neighbors that saved me’s door. I screamed. I fought. Two angles were on my side. I am forever thankful for the people that heard me and pulled me into their house covered in blood, called 911, and saved my life. I was given 20 stitches. I’m on medical leave of absence at work and don’t know what’s going to happen next. I’m in fear for my life. I’m thinking of moving states. At least, moving from where I am now so I can feel safe at my own home. I’m moving in fear every day.
