Coming To America

I have been a host mom for international students for many years now. While doing so I met an amazing high schooler from Africa. He got a scholarship from Mount Vernon Academy about 3 years ago and he took advantage of all the opportunities given to him through the school and from his awesome host family. He was very lucky to even get a Visa to come here. He has the most amazing attitude and I am so amazed by him. Everyone that meets him, instantly loves him. While he was studying in Utah, his dad passed away in Africa. Without the funds, he could not go to his funeral, but he kept studying and has dedicated to making his life better for his father. He is a huge success story and has a full ride scholarship in football at Southern Utah University. Now his 12 year old brother just got accepted for the same scholarship at Mount Vernon. He just has to come up with the plane ticket. Ideally he wants to fly home to Africa (he hasn't seen his family in 3 years) and bring his brother back with him. If he can't raise that much money, he hopes he can at least raise enough money to buy a plane ticket for his brother.
