Friends and Family of John John Hughes,

Many of you may already know but John John was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It is in the final stages and he is in Hospice care. On Saturday 1/14th, we gathered together for a Celebration of life with him and it was a success despite the rain! I want to thank all who came together and pitched in to make this happen. He was overwhelmed with all the love and was so happy to see and share all the good memories with lifelong friends and family.

Vic Gibbon and John John's children, Brionna, David and Noah are setting up this GoFundMe site to ask for assistance with funds for John Johns Hospice care needs. Unfortunately, his plans to move to Washington are no longer an option. He is on a waiting list for an available Hospice room to open in Santa Barbara County. During the wait, he is residing in a hotel in Carpentaria, California. As he cannot work due to his illness, he does not have an income coming in. He will need some help with funds to cover rent, food and daily necessities.

He is a prideful man and requesting help is not something he would want to do, but it is needed. I am hoping we all can pitch in to make sure that he is comfortable and not worrying about expenses.

Any donation is appreciated. Funds received will go towards John John's rent, end-of-life care and any associated medical costs to make him comfortable at this stage.
