My first memory of my mom I was about three years old and was helping my dad change her bandages. She had gotten hurt at work and had surgery to try and fix the problem. We never imagined that this was just the beginning for my mom and our family. But now we need to fast forward abour 15+ years to bring us to today. Just last month, as the picture shows, my mom was hospitalized in intensive care for bronchial pneumonia and now is on oxyen 24 hours a day. About 10 days later she was hospitalized for even more medical issues. All this adds to more medical supplies, equipment, and medications in our house. My mom has been in and out of the hospital more times then i can count as i was growing up. It led to multiple surgeries and a couple of them were for life threatening for blood clots. All this has been adding more diagnoses from lupus to diabetes to severe neuropathy in her legs and feet to fibromyalgia, chronic pain, memory problems, and COPD. To make things even worse my dad, Wayne, got hurt at work with a back injury. After two years off work, two failed back surgeries and therapies it looks like he wont be returning to work and is applying for social security disability. Both of my parents are receiving aid from thr government but only after my sister and I moved out to lower the income in the household in order for them to get any help. They only receive medical insurance and a few groceries here and there. They are living off of my moms social security disability which most of that money goes to rent to keep the house they are living in. With all most all the money gone they are short on cash for gas, electric, water, and the phone which they both need for their medical reasons above all. My mom has over 15 doctors who she is suppose to see and have testing to try and keep her medical issues somewhat stable and my dad for his therapies and doctors but without gas money they cant get to appointments to do any if that. My mom was referred to Cleveland Clinic to get more help but the insurance covers doctirs and testi g but nit gas money, food, or place to stay so she hasnt been able to get there to get their help. My parents are amazing people, hard working, caring and humble. They have had a few friends and family help them but they dont what to ask for any help because they dont lime to owe anyone and have always done things themselves or just gone without. They have been trying gor over two years to make it on their own but things are getting worse. So, now my sister and me asking for help for our parents. We are asking family, friends, or anyone else who knows them or who knows what its like to be in this type of a situation help our parents get through this really tough time our parents are having. We have helped them ourselves but its not enough as we are trying to take care of ourselves. We will be extremely graftful for any help anyone can give to our parents as we know our parents will be too. Thank you in advance for everything! Bryanna Fischer Amber Fischer
