Michael's Medical Fund

Hey everyone!  Please take a second to read this story and help out someone in need:  Over a week ago, Michael began to experience extreme pain in his head.  The pain began at work (X-ray tech @ hospital) about two hours after lifting a patient, which induced sudden back spasm/pain, numbing of limbs, and a quick black out.  He rested the whole night after work into the next morning.  The head pain returned later that morning to a point where he had to leave work to be seen at an urgent care, who then sent him to the ER.  Michael stayed in the ER for about 4 hours.  After a series of IV medications, blood tests, and a CT scan, they released him with a migraine diagnostic and a recommendation to immediately see a PCP and neurologist.  Due to Michael's heavy work schedule and his hard-working mentality, he went into work the next day.  The intolerable head pains forced him to leave work early again and return to the urgent care, who prescribed pain medication.  Michael finally went to the ER for the second time after two visits to the urgent care and rejection from the neurologist/PCP because of the severity.  An overnight stay was demanded from the ER.  It was the next day when we discovered the severity of the issue.  Michael had leaking of spinal fluid in his brain.  Doctors suspected a spinal cord tear, which could have been life threatening if not treated accordingly and immediately.  Because of the precise medical care needed, it was necessary for Michael to be transferred to UPenn Neuro ICU in an ambulance.  After many tests, two spinal cord tears (neck and lower back) were apparent in Michael's MRIs.  A blood patch was needed immediately to seal the tears.  After the patch procedure was completed, Michael was required to remain in the hospital on bed rest for another 3 days to ensure success.  After three days, being moved out of the Neuro ICU, and a reevaluation, it was determined that another blood patch was needed.  Michael is still in the hospital due to the second blood patch procedure.  We all have high hopes that he will be out tomorrow morning.
Adding to Michael's recovery stress is the stress of his hospital bills, personal bills (house, cell, car, etc.), and absence of work leading to a reduction in pay.  He is a recent college graduate with many monetary responsibilities.  Due to his injury, he has been out of work for over a week.
Michael could use any help he could get paying off his hospital bills!  Any amount helps.  With the help of his friends and loved ones to pay his medical bills, Michael will be able to focus on recovery and heal his best.  Again, any amount helps!  The funds are needed relatively immediate.  Michael, I, and his family would greatly appreciate any donations made.
We thank you in advance for participating in this GoFundMe fundraiser for someone with a heart bigger than anyone I know.
