Starting over....

Hello Friends, Family, and Friends we have yet to meet!
I am reaching out to you today in hope of helping my amazing brother and sister-in-law and their beautiful children.
Steve and Delicia started their lives as young newlyweds fourteen years ago. They started with nothing but worked extremely hard and sacrificed a lot to get where they are today. They were eventually able to buy a "fixer-upper," work to improve it, and sell it in order to buy a little bit better home. They did this three times to finally acquire a house big enough for their family. They need to do it one more time but now things have taken a turn.
Three years ago, Steve and Delicia moved into their current home, and that's when things started to get perplexing. Delicia started feeling unwell and tried numerous doctors and even alternative medicine to help find out what was wrong. But she continued to get worse. Recently their children started having strange symptoms and Steve started not feeling well, also. After extensive testing and thousands of dollars, this sweet family found out that their home is literally making them sick.
Delicia has mold-poisoning and her liver is not functioning properly. Out of 36 molds commonly found in homes, their home has 32. Some of these molds are at 1000 times what is normal! They literally have to leave their home for their health and safety.
Now Steve and Delicia are trying to pay a mortgage and rent at the same time. To make their home safe again, special contractors need to come in, tear it down to the studs, and rebuild, but insurance does not cover mold. Unfortunately, the costs associated with fixing their home is too great, and they are going to try to sell it, as is, with ethically providing full disclosure to the new buyer...something that was not done for them by the previous owner or the inspector they hired before purchasing the home. Steve and Delicia will be losing 14 years of hard work in equity and must start over from scratch.
To make matters worse, almost all of their possessions are not safe for them to take with them because mold spores can hitch a ride and infect their new home. This mold is literally toxic. Steve, Delicia, and their sweet children must get rid of all their furniture, beds, rugs, toys, and anything else that can't fit in a washing machine...and even then, special soap and a minimum of three washings are needed for their clothes in order to be safe enough to wear.
The toll this is taking on my brother and his family financially, emotionally, and physically has been huge. Please pray for them all to regain their health, joy, and playful spirits, and to see a light at the end of this tunnel. If you are willing and able, please consider donating to this fund so they may buy new beds, toys, and other necessities for their new apartment.
