Meredith grew up in Southgate, MI, with her Father, Mother, twin sister and two younger brothers.  She has remained loyal to the downriver community where she is a special education teacher for Southhgate Community Schools.

Meredith has a beautiful family of her own.  She and her husband Eric share a 2 1/2 year old daughter Genevieve whom is the the center of their world.  When you see the Timmons family they are always smiling.  There are not words to express how Meredith is towards her family and friends.  She makes it seem effortless to be involved in her life.

Prior to Monday, July 27, 2015, Meredith lived a very healthy active lifestyle.  Meredith went to her primary care physician to be treated for a sinus infection and was placed on antibiotics.  A short time later Meredith developed a low-grade fever, so she returned to her physician for further evaluation.  Following a series of blood tests Meredith was transferred to Henry Ford Main, Detroit, MI, for further testing.

On Thursday, July 30, 2015, Meredith and Eric were informed that Meredith had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a type of cancer generally found in children.  The initial treatment would include 20 days of in-patient chemotherapy.  Following the intial treatment, Meredith was allowed to go home for a few days (as seen in the home page photo), and then it will be months of traveling back and forth to the hospital for a series of inpatient chemotherapy treatments.

Meredith has always been a very strong and positive person.  This process has proven no different as evidenced by her stating, "I will kick cancers butt!"

This account was set up by the friends and family of Meredith Timmons to cover the medical expenses associated with the treatment of this horrible disease, so Meredith and Eric focus on kicking cancers butt instead of worrying how they will make ends meet.
