Hilda Bih is an inspired, hard working radio host in Bamenda Cameroon, West Africa. Hilda has Muscular Dystrophy. She has been slowly loosing her ability to move her limbs since she was a child. Her family helps her do everything, including the simplest things like moving from room to room. She is currently in the USA on a presidential fellowship for young leaders.
She works with women's issues and human rights and has a very popular radio show in her home country. Hilda is featured in the film in production "Radio Taboo" see more at www.radiotaboo.com.
Hilda will only be able to get this chair if we raise the money for her by the 15th of September. Issa Nyaphaga, an artist and activist from Cameroon, tried to help Hilda get a chair like this one before, however the cost to ship a chair is more than it costs to buy it. Hilda is HERE NOW in the USA until the 24th of September. If she is travelling with the chair it will be free to transport it! we need the raise the funds by the 16th to get it shipped to her and send her home with her new chair.
