9 months without a paycheck living in NY and I’m finally at my breaking point. I’ve lost family, friends, and loved ones. I can’t even see my son (who lives with his mother) or get Christmas presents. All because of covid. Jobs are scarce, infections are going up, and the $350 I get from unemployment just doesn’t cover the cost of living in NY. What’s worse is that unemployment is running out. I’ve been a bartender for 17yrs and would like to think I left a lasting impression. But I don’t see things getting better for a long time, even with a vaccine on the way. As a proud person, who has never taken a hand out, I’ve reached a conclusion. And that is, NY is dying and if I stay here, I might be going along with it. So that’s why I’m here. I feel shameful to even ask, but I need help with moving costs. I already have friends willing to give me a place to stay, and a possible job lined up. The only problem is how do I get there. I have nowhere left to go, so I’m begging on both hands and knees that someone can please answer my prayers
