On September 25th, Adam Brimeyer suddenly and unexpectedly passed during a valiant battle against a pulmonary embolism.

If you have ever experienced live music in Ames, you are likely only a degree or two of separation from Adam Brimeyer. Many of us hold and cherish fond memories with Adam across many, many years. For some of us, he was a smiling face on stage or a blissed our guitarist jamming out. For others, he was a loyal Dungeon Master, guiding us on epic adventures through mystical lands. For yet others, he was the ears and hands bringing our sound to life on stage.

There are many things Adam loved in this world, and Adam leaves behind the love of his life, fellow adventurer to the very end, Melissa Lanphere.

Mel is left with many expenses at this time, including the home that she and Adam shared together and recently purchased. During this time, we want to celebrate and remember Adam by supporting Mel, his human, the partner he cherished and loved most fiercely. She deserves space to mourn without also dealing with the fear of the financial unknown at this time. We're putting together multiple opportunities to raise funds for Melissa and Adam's end-of-life arrangements. All funds raised will be directly withdrawn by Melissa herself.

Melissa shared that one use of the proceeds will be to install a memorial bench for Adam at Brookside park. In her words, "It was our favorite park, just down the street from the home we built together. Having a space to sit with him will be wonderful."

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Alluvial Brewery, 3715 W. 190th Street, Ames, Iowa, where there will be a time of sharing at 6:00 P.M.

London Underground will also host a Day of Remembrance for Adam on Sunday, October 9th. At this time, there will be special memorial t-shirts available for purchase, all profits of which go directly to Melissa.
